My first real estate interaction with Shawn was in 2018. My brother and I were seeking a realtor who was very experienced in the area to sell a property that had been in the family for over 60 years. We wanted to find the right mix of personality to handle that type of transaction. We decided to look at the 5 top agents in Manhattan Beach. Had interviews with 5 of these realtors. Immediately we zeroed in on what we felt were our top two, and Shawn just had a more unique approach. He really thought out how he was going to be marketing. He wasn’t just selling himself on his past sales. He really looked forward as to how he was going to be marketing our property - way more, I thought, than some of the other realtors in the area. The only way to show the view was to get a scissor lift, and he coordinated the whole process of getting a scissor lift, so we could go 25-30 feet in the air, and he could take prospective realtors and buyers to view the property with the real potential of its view, and that was a great call by Shawn. From that collaboration of he being a good listener and us asking engaging questions with him, we felt very confident that he was the right pick. We really felt that Shawn was strongly representing us. He created an exceptional video of our property that really showed its uniqueness. He generated a lot of excitement for it. His brochures were absolutely gorgeous. His delivery and his understanding of the local marketplace. His relationships with some of the builders that eventually was our buyer just brought that collective strength to the transaction that made it go pretty smooth. He just made us feel very relaxed and good about working with him. And we could see that he would be a person that other realtors would want to work with, as well as clients. From start to finish working with Piper was an amazing and wonderful experience! She listened carefully to my criteria and then kicked off a search that eventually yielded me my new home. There was not one situation where she showed me a home that didn't fit what we had discussed. When I presented listings she provided me her immediate feedback or she would research and get back to me. Going above and beyond she even drove by some of the listings to check out the neighborhood when she was unfamiliar (very rare). She was so responsive to emails, texts and phone calls. Brook was very efficient, we had the place photographed, walls painted, available to see and then rented all in 2 weeks. He was always available and helped take care of a lot of the on site fixes that needed to get done to be ready for sale.
Lily was absolutely terrific! We interviewed several of the top realtors in Palos Verdes and we felt based on her presentation that she would be the best choice for us. Lily is very knowledgeable, great with other agents, terrific on follow-up and follow-through (two of the most important attributes for agents but yet today is hard to find) and was able to secure a buyer for us in less than one week at greater than asking price. Oh, did I tell you that we set the asking price? Lily asked us what we would like to receive for the house as it had been on the market for over 6 months with other Palos Verdes (long-time) agents who were unable to perform. Lily was very positive, even though the house had been on the market and she truly felt from the beginning that we had a great house and that it needed better exposure. Lily took pictures the second day of the listing and everything was very professionally done and the pictures looked great. You can compare the before (other agents) to Lily's pictures and there is no comparison on the difference. Professionalism sells. Karynne was my agent on 2 purchases and 1 sell. I’ve previously purchased & sold 4 other homes with other agents, so I have a very good baseline of expectations. Karynne was by far the most knowledgeable, honest, hardest working agent I’ve every worked with. Some examples of what makes her exceptional: she wouldn’t LET me buy bad houses – several times I wanted to put an offer on homes and she would point out all of the flaws in the home I had not noticed, discouraging me from buying; she wouldn’t let me overpay for a house – I desperately wanted a not-so-great house because I was panicked about finding one quickly. Repeatedly I asked her if we should pay what they were asking and over and over again she told me the house was over priced. This was my first time buying a home. Piper was there for me the ENTIRE way. From taking me to see homes, to taking care of all the required inspections and paperwork. She can be reached by text 24-7 and responds really quick every time! She goes out of her way to be there for you. Mo was given a very difficult listing. The selling partners were hardly speaking. The tenant was uncooperative and the lease was poorly written. There was also a cloud on the title to address. Mo rose to the challenge. He found a new tenant and negotiated to assign the lease. The new tenant also wanted to purchase the building as well. The final problem was to resolve the cloud on the title. Mo helped us find a good attorney. All of these things took over two years to complete. Mo stayed positive and helpful through the entire transaction. Mo was upbeat and professional from start to finish. I am a retired real estate broker and find Mo to be a cut above and I would recommend Mo to any of my clients.
