    Peggy and her son Peter (in business together) were terrific in buying our new house and selling our old house. We got to know Peggy and Peter while looking for a house to meet our (very specific) desires. Peter saw a new house for sale near the area we were looking and said, “this would be perfect for them”. He was right. Peggy arranged for us to see the house, and we fell in love with it. Buying a house these days is not simple. The number of legal documents to be reviewed (especially for a new house in a Home Owners’ Association) is daunting as is the entire process: the negotiations with the seller, disclosures, the escrow process, and multiple types of inspections, moving, maintenance, etc. Peggy is incredibly knowledgeable; she guided (hand-held is more accurate) us through the process right through the final settlement. Peggy had great recommendations for movers, housekeepers, inspectors, etc. which were all very valuable. Peter was there whenever we needed help in meeting people (inspectors and installers) at the house and also knows the business well; he also has great taste in houses. They are both terrific and work very well together as a team. When it came time to sell our old house immediately after moving into our new house, Peggy and Peter were there for us. They managed the entire process, from timing and price determination, to cleaning and painting the house, “staging” the house for sale to get a better price, conducting open houses (of which there were only two since the house sold very quickly – Peter and Peggy priced the house very accurately), to receiving the offers (primary and backup), negotiating the sale price and conditions, going through and closing escrow, and, again, reviewing and signing all the legal documents. They are both very knowledgeable, about the process as well as the real estate market in our buying and selling locations. Again, they were terrific. The bottom line is that we could not have done the whole thing without Peggy and Peter. We highly recommend them, individually and as a team, for selling and buying a home. We love our new home.     What we wanted most in a realtor was someone with integrity that we could trust, and someone that would represent us with respect and class. My husband and I were first-time buyers, and we could not have done better that Klapper Group.     My first real estate interaction with Shawn was in 2018. My brother and I were seeking a realtor who was very experienced in the area to sell a property that had been in the family for over 60 years. We wanted to find the right mix of personality to handle that type of transaction. We decided to look at the 5 top agents in Manhattan Beach. Had interviews with 5 of these realtors. Immediately we zeroed in on what we felt were our top two, and Shawn just had a more unique approach. He really thought out how he was going to be marketing. He wasn’t just selling himself on his past sales. He really looked forward as to how he was going to be marketing our property - way more, I thought, than some of the other realtors in the area. The only way to show the view was to get a scissor lift, and he coordinated the whole process of getting a scissor lift, so we could go 25-30 feet in the air, and he could take prospective realtors and buyers to view the property with the real potential of its view, and that was a great call by Shawn. From that collaboration of he being a good listener and us asking engaging questions with him, we felt very confident that he was the right pick. We really felt that Shawn was strongly representing us. He created an exceptional video of our property that really showed its uniqueness. He generated a lot of excitement for it. His brochures were absolutely gorgeous. His delivery and his understanding of the local marketplace. His relationships with some of the builders that eventually was our buyer just brought that collective strength to the transaction that made it go pretty smooth. He just made us feel very relaxed and good about working with him. And we could see that he would be a person that other realtors would want to work with, as well as clients. We are so thankful that we chose him, and he came across our lives and made such an impact with handling a very unique property here in Manhattan Beach for us. Do your homework; interview some other agents. That way you have a more informed opinion. And I think when you sit down with Shawn and give him the opportunity to really present his way of thinking, his way of handling the transaction, I think you’ll hopefully do what we did and go with Shawn.

    Let's face it, buying a home isn't something most of us do often. It's stressful, requires patience, and more. You want someone good representing you and your interests. Chris isn't just a good agent, he's the agent you *need* when looking for the home you want. He really listens to what you like and do not like on every showing, and refines his recommendations from there. Chris doesn't tell you what he thinks of the home; he tells you how it fits your asks. And he is quite considerate of your time - some agents just show you every listing from MLS - Chris vets the listings, visits them in advance, and maximizes your time searching. When I  presented listings she provided me her immediate feedback or she would research and get back to me. Going above and beyond she even drove by some of the listings to check out the neighborhood when she was unfamiliar (very rare). She was so responsive to emails, texts and phone calls. She always made me feel like I was her #1 priority, even though I knew she must have other clients I never felt lack of attention. For matters that were outside her expertise (e.g. inspection items) she did the legwork to find me good contacts who could either answer my questions or provide estimates for the work that was needed. Truly made my home buying experience a special one. Her being at my house warming was the best present I could have had, because she was so much a part of my buying that house.

    Cindy Shearin is a miracle worker. Via the internet, anyone believes they can be their own real estate agent. Forget going online and just call Cindy. She is experienced, knowledgeable and honest. A true professional who knows how to get the things done that you would be hard pressed to find on a website. Try doing an expedited escrow online. She helped us close the sale of our old home on Monday and our new home on Tuesday. This happened a few weeks ago not in 2005-2006! The icing on the cake is that she is a pleasure to deal with and really cares about her clients. Last but not least her team of Bill and Lani are great people too! We highly recommend Cindy Shearin as she is the hardest working woman we know and the very best in her field.
