My sister received a job offer in LA (which starts in August), so we decided to fly to LA to check out the Manhattan Beach / Redondo Beach neighborhoods and understand how rental apartments work in that area. After arriving in LA (after lots of delays due to a snow storm going through the northeast), we met Nicole at her office on a Saturday and discussed the kind of apartments my sister was interested in. Being new to the area (without a car), Nicole generously drove us around the Manhattan Beach / Redondo Beach area and showed us various apartments to give us an idea of what they were like. Because our rental wouldn’t start in August, we would actually start the rental process around June/July. Fast forward to June, Covid-19 was impacting everything and we couldn’t make a second trip to LA to browse apartments in person. Nicole set up a virtual search with her system and we received regular updates on when rental listings became available. We stumbled upon a wonderful newly renovated apartment complex and because we couldn’t visit LA, Nicole took the extra mile and checked out the apartment for us. She recorded a quick walk through video and sent it to us. We knew we wanted to move into this apartment right after we saw the video! The paperwork for rentals in California is very new for us since we came from New York and lived with family all our lives. Nicole patiently walked us through all the paperwork and worked with the management company to ensure that all the paperwork is squared away. She even set up Docusign documents with additional California rental paperwork that the management company didn’t even provide. Nicole truly was looking out for our best interests! August quickly approached and we were about to fly over to LA to move in. Because our move-in date was on a Saturday and that we were arriving late on Friday night, the management company would not be able to provide us with the keys. In fact, we didn’t know about this and Nicole, once again, proactively went above and beyond to help us out. She picked up the keys and dropped them off at the hotel we were staying at so that we can begin moving in on Saturday, rather than waiting until Monday. From start to finish working with Piper was an amazing and wonderful experience! She listened carefully to my criteria and then kicked off a search that eventually yielded me my new home. There was not one situation where she showed me a home that didn't fit what we had discussed. When I presented listings she provided me her immediate feedback or she would research and get back to me. Going above and beyond she even drove by some of the listings to check out the neighborhood when she was unfamiliar (very rare). She was so responsive to emails, texts and phone calls. We have worked with Dan and his office on three separate buy/sell transactions and one rental. When we were relocating from Colorado to California, I called countless agents for help. Dan was the only person to take our inquiry seriously and did what he said he would do. His commitment and loyalty created ours back to him and he is the only realtor we'll use going forward. Dan has too many strengths for me to list here, but some of his key attributes I value most are his knowledge and expertise, professionalism and candor and his ability to stay calm under high pressure situations. My first real estate interaction with Shawn was in 2018. My brother and I were seeking a realtor who was very experienced in the area to sell a property that had been in the family for over 60 years. We wanted to find the right mix of personality to handle that type of transaction. We decided to look at the 5 top agents in Manhattan Beach. Had interviews with 5 of these realtors. Immediately we zeroed in on what we felt were our top two, and Shawn just had a more unique approach. He really thought out how he was going to be marketing. He wasn’t just selling himself on his past sales. He really looked forward as to how he was going to be marketing our property - way more, I thought, than some of the other realtors in the area. The only way to show the view was to get a scissor lift, and he coordinated the whole process of getting a scissor lift, so we could go 25-30 feet in the air, and he could take prospective realtors and buyers to view the property with the real potential of its view, and that was a great call by Shawn. From that collaboration of he being a good listener and us asking engaging questions with him, we felt very confident that he was the right pick. We really felt that Shawn was strongly representing us. He created an exceptional video of our property that really showed its uniqueness. He generated a lot of excitement for it. First and foremost Karina leads the process with her tremendously positive attitude. We went through some very challenging times with our financing and she was always optimistic and supportive to help us deal with our anxieties and that was very helpful. We also demanded a lot related to needed work on the house and i know that our asks must have been frustrating for her but she always responded immediately and in the end pushed everything through for us. Karina has a very deep passion for real estate and more importantly, for the South Bay. Additionally she has a tremendous network of relationships and resources that are an added plus!

I would really like to recommend Shawn Dugan as a real estate agent. He sold my house on The Strand. We waited for the best price; we got the best price. There was no giving up on what our needs were, and the transition was wonderful. I spent a year after that looking for something that would really suit me, and Shawn was wonderful in helping me find this fabulous 1927 vintage cottage - something I had been looking for for a very long time - on a very large lot. And again, we were able to get the price that I needed from the sellers. All I can say about Shawn is that he's easy to work with. He is so completely honest, and I think he really takes care of the seller, as I was, and the buyer, as I became - especially when there's so much emotion involved in real estate. It can be a really hard thing to get through. But Shawn did it so well for me, and I would recommend him to anybody, anywhere. He knows the market. He has lived here his whole life. He does every cost comparison you can possibly imagine. He supplies you with as much information as you need to know, and he follows through. I would not have used him not one, or two times but now I'm using him again for rental purposes with my properties. I interviewed several realtors to be my listing agent when selling my condo in Santa Monica. Many claimed to be "experts" in the area, and promised "world-class marketing" but when I asked them about their listing strategy, they lost me. Then I had the chance to sit down with Colin, and he approached things a bit differently. Rather than come in and tell me how great he was, he took the majority of time to ask me questions. Our real estate agent, Lily Liang, was aware of our plan to buy a single story house since last year. But it was not easy to find an affordable, spacious, single story house with ocean view in P.V. About five months ago Lily informed us that a single story house in Rolling Hills with an attractive asking price maybe worth our consideration. We immediately toured the house and decided to make an offer. Needless to say, quick action is the key to get a good property.
